Home Learning Challenge Grids - Manor Green Primary Academy.
Welcome to our new homework grids. Children in all year groups from Reception to Y6 will receive a half termly grids with a range of exciting topic activities to complete alongside key skills tasks. Please see the letter and 'How To' guide, below for a full explanation of how these work. Copies of the grids can be found here too.Homework this term half term will be similar to last term, so we have some more activities which link to our books and themes. We hope you enjoy these activities with your child. We want you to have fun and do lots of talking to help your child learn some new words.Use this set of EYFS Summer Half-Term home learning challenges to provide early years children with activities they can carry out at home over the half-term holiday to support their learning and have fun! The activities are designed to be practical and engaging, perfect for young learners!
For this half term's homework the children have been given a topic-themed cover sheet full of activities, mostly linked to our topic of 'Darkness'. We would like the children to complete all of the red tasks by the end of the half term holiday and as many of the white ones as they wish. They can complete them in any order they wish.Reception Homework For many parents, homework is the only picture they get of what their child does at school. For this reason, Hamilton have put a great deal of effort into writing suitable, fun and home-friendly activities for children and parents to share together. Children will benefit and so will parents and teachers!
My DD was reception last year and she had 3 reading books per week (Mon, Weds, Fri) and every half term they had an extra 3 pieces of homework to do - usually one craft thing, one research thing and one easy thing (learn address, practice getting dressed etc).
